Well, kiddo, I've set the blog up. The word, Blog, doesn't "do much for me." I still prefer The Loft, so I'll keep that in mind when I think of this space. Since I'm on lunch break, this first post will be short. Who caught GWB last evening? Does anyone still have him? If so, make sure he's on the first plane if 20,000 more troops are deployed. A troop plane.

BLOG NAMING

- I thought my blog should have a name. There used to be a column in the local newspaper when I was growing up entitled "Thoughts While Shaving." Since that activity takes up very little of my time, it would not be apt. Still, the concept felt sound. So...when do I have those longer moments of contemplative thought? More and more frequently in the middle of the night after the middle life power surges that warm me and my cabin. So though the name remains merely loftmom, remember most of the rambling comes from the heat of the night.
